| Résumé | A research program on marine evacuation by lifeboat has begun as a partnership between the National Research Council's Institute for Marine Dynamics and Memorial University of Newfoundland. The program has three main aims: to evaluate lifeboat evacuation capabilities as a function of weather conditions; to evaluate the use of model testing techniques; and to explore performance measures and examine their practical utility in the contect of performance standards and goal based regulations. |
