| Résumé | We describe the principles, measurement techniques, error sources and uncertainty contribution of the measurement of the Abbe offset in the NRC Kibble balance. We estimate that this measurement presently contributes an uncertainty of about 3 parts in 10 9 to the NRC mass realization. This estimate requires careful consideration of several subtle effects that can otherwise introduce a significant bias. |
