Résumé	This memorandum describes four designed examples of vertical take-off and landing aircraft, in which forward propulsion Is by a turbo jet engine, and lift is by fans In the wings. The fans are driven by gas from the turbine exhaust of the turbo jet engine, and are used only for take-off, hovering and landing. In flight the aircraft Is propelled by the jet engine with the fans shut down.
