Performance evaluation of offshore evacuation systems

Résumé
This report deals with the performance evaluation and ranking of one particular offshore evacuation system, the conventional twin fall davit deployment system. The davit system is used to deploy a conventional Totally Enclosed Motor Propelled Survival Craft, or TEMPSC, from a generic FPSO model. The experiments were conducted at the Institute for Marine Dynamics (IMD), in St. John's, in the Ocean Engineering Basin during the months of February and March 2000.
