Résumé	Loads acting on propeller blades during propeller/ice interaction are due to several different phenomena which may occur simultaneously during the ice milling process. These include the direct ice contact load, the load due to extrusion of the damaged ice from the contact zone, the hydrodynamic non-contact load, as well as the mean open water hydrodynamic load.
