Abstract | This paper examines issues of national sovereignty in the context of a right to communicate. It first provides a historical and philosophical overview of the development of communication rights. It then focuses on exemplary cases involving the intersection of national sovereignty with communication rights. Emphasis is given to exploring the implications for democratic communication and political and cultural participation in communities. |
