| Abstract | The Canadian Hydraulics Centre of the National Research Council of Canada has developed a Catalogue of Ice Loads on Structures. Reported measurements of ice loads have been collected into this comprehensive data report. Three hundred and eleven ice/structure interaction Events have been catalogued on all different types of structures.
Volume 1 contains information on the following structures:
• Test Structures (10 Events),
• Bridge Piers (44 Events),
• Light Piers (49 Events),
• Multi-leg Structures (O Events),
• Wharves and Dams (42 Events).
Volume 2 contains information on the following structures:
• Wide Offshore Structures (149 Events) and
• Natural Islands (17 Events).
Complete information is available for all Events including details of the structure and instrumentation, ice conditions and the measured time series of the ice load. The information is presented in a consistent logical format. |
