| Abstract | We study the effect of interactions of many electrons and holes on optical properties of quantum dots in a magnetic field. The degeneracies in the electronic structure of these artificial atoms lead to a remarkable dependence of the absorption/emission spectrum on density of excitons. This is explained in terms of remnants of hidden symmetries leading to coherent many-exciton states of weakly interacting excitons and bi-excitons. This is illustrated by detailed numerical results for highly excited lens-shaped InGaAs self-assembled dots. |
