| Abstract | This report presents the results of a field evaluation of the thermal conductivity of lightweight clay and shale-based aggregates from stockpiles exposed to outdoor climate conditions. The data indicated that conductivities as low as 0.1 W/m.K may be expected for coarse aggregate. Suggestions for potential applications of the material are included along with possible ways of improving the material. |
