| Abstract | THE "CASPAR" PROGRAMME (Cushion Air System Parametric Assessment Rig)
A research air cushion vehicle has been built, equipped with comprehensive instrumentation, and designed to be fitted with easily interchangeable skirt systems. It is sensibly "full-size" to eliminate scale effects, and will be operated outdoors over a wide range of real terrain, but under laboratory standards of experimental precision and control. |
