| Abstract | Using an MBE grown GaAs/AlGaAs multilayer structure in a waveguide geometry, we show that an enhancement for surface emitting harmonic generation in excess of 10 million can be achieved. Based upon this effect, we propose a design giving monolithic surface emitting laser sources tuneable from red to blue in the visible spectrum. |
