Abstract
A method is presented for generating thermodynamic data (specific heat, enthalpy, and entropy) as functions of temperature and fuel/air ratio, for ranges appropriate to gas turbine cycle calculations. Comparisons of the generally used tabulations of thermodynamic data are made, and specific algebraic expressions are developed which yield results in agreement with the tabulated data to within 0.1 percent precision over the temperature range from 200°K to 1400°K. Both the technique and the formulae presented are well suited for incorporation into cycle study programmes for digital computers.
