Abstract | A high resolution, resonance fluorescence technique is described which can overcome macroscopic strain broadening effects on the inhomogeneous lineshape of zero phonon lines. A linewidth of 1.21 GHz (fwhm) was observed for the ruby R1 line at 15 K. |
