Abstract | In a field study carried out on a protected membrane roof insulated with a bead polystyrene, moisture contents of the insulation were sampled, using a coring device, over a period of about six years. The results showed wide variation in moisture content at different parts of the roof as well as an increase in moisture content with time. Final moisture content ranged from about 0.3 to 21.7% by volume and averaged 11.0% by volume. |
