| Abstract | We have surveyed a number of R. leguminosarum isolates to determine the variation in N₂ fixation H₂ evolution and uptake, and the relation between these and plant yield and N content. Growth studies of plants inoculated with several isolates were also carried out under several light regimes. Bacteroid preparations were used to determine ATP levels in several isolates. |
