| Abstract | The goal of the project was to design a support system for a mast and payload such that it could survive in Sea State 4 while deployed and Sea State 6 while nested.
The goal of this paper is to relay the process by which the various forces and torques imposed on the design system were computed, and how the design was then sized to absorb them. |
