| Abstract | A laser-based power and data delivery scheme is described for completely wireless operation of a epiretinal prostheses. Laser steering is achieved using a single, two-axis microelectromechanical system mirror and a custom curved reflection optic are used to enable beam trajectories at different angular coordinates of the pupil. Real-time pupil detection and laser steering operation are characterized on a 3D printed robotic eye platform and optimized for maximum optical power delivery. |
