| Abstract | This Technical Memorandum, which contains the joint report and the background documents, consolidates the ideas and opinions of many geotechnical workers in Canada. It was considered appropriate, therefore I to distri bute it widely in the hope that it would influence the direction of geotechnical research. At the same time, it provides a basis for further discussion and evaluation of geotechnical research needs. you are invited, therefore, to contribute to this review by sending us your comments at your earliest convenience. |
