Abstract | The authors of this paper have investigated the effect of total moisture content on the uniaxial compressive strength of three frozen soils (supes, suglinok and clay) under short- term loading at temperatures between -10 degrees C and -55 degrees C. Polycrystalline ice specimens were also tested under similar conditions. |
