| Abstract | A test cell correlation was carried out between the General Electric Company (GE) and the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) in 1991. The correlation was done to determine performance correction factors for measurements made on a F404-GE-400 gas turbine engine located in No. 5 cell of the Structures, Materials and Propulsion Laboratory. The correlation also provided a check on a previous correlation which was completed in 1983. The results show that the correlation factors have not changed since the 1983 tests in spite of the many changes that have taken place in No. 5 test cell. In addition, the second correlation has provided NRC with a mechanism to verify its own inhouse gas turbine test procedures and to fortify its understanding of test cell correlations. |
