| Abstract | The Offshore Evacuation Systems project at the National Research Council of Canada-Institute for Marine Dynamics, studies physical model lifeboats to evaluate a variety of performance measures. This is in effort to change the focus of marine evacuation systems from prescriptive regulations to one that is based on performance standards. Determining the capabilities of the lifeboat under a number of varying parameters achieves this. |
