Abstract | The workshop will cover the hygrothermal performance of different wall assemblies. It consists in going from the basic fundamentals of building science to applied research and to the real life 'practice'. It will cover laboratory and field assessment of air tightness of building envelope in North America and its effects on energy and hygrothermal performance. An extensive analysis of the energy performance of typical buildings will be presented and layout the importance of air sealing and the impact on energy efficiency for typical wall systems. |
