Wave forces on floating bodies are evaluated for two-dimensional problems. Methods such as the Morison Equation and Froude-Krylov forces are described as background theory. The focus of the report is determining wave forces on free-floating bodies, large relative to the wavelength, using linear wave theory. Laplace's continuity equation is solved for diffraction and radiation cases using a Boundary Element Method (BEM). For the radiation case, coupled equations of motion are also evaluated. MATLAB m-files performing the numerical analysis are included in an Appendix.
