Abstract
Software has been developed to collect and analyze data from a differential thermal microanalyzer using an Apple II + microcomputer. This software is composed of different modules which are independent from each other in order to permit their use with various analog-to-digital converters with few modifications. This configuration allows addition of new modules or updating of existing modules with greater ease. The data acquisition during an experiment can be as high as 6000 numerical values in addition to real-time plotting of the thermogram on the screen. The applicability of the software is shown for the characterization of the thermal behavior of a PbO·SiO₂ glass.
