Abstract | A detailed uncertainty analysis has been performed to determine the measurement uncertainty of the freestream parameters and the force and moment coefficients at the NRC 1.5-meter trisonic wind tunnel. The systematic and random components are investigated separately using the Taylor series propagation method. Detailed breakdowns of the uncertainties have been obtained in order to identify the variables that have the largest contributions to the uncertainty of the test results. A summary of the findings is presented for Mach number, dynamic pressure and coefficients of drag and lift, under different operating conditions. |
