Great Lakes bulk carrier; model tests; vertical bending moment
This report presents results of experiments conducted on a segment model of a typical 730 foot Great Lakes bulk carrier. Experiments included measurements of vertical bending moment in five locations as well as motions and propulsion data. The model was tested at various speeds in regular and irregular long-crested head waves. The experiments were conducted at IMD's Towing Tank.
