| Abstract | A combustion chamber for kerosene fuel has been developed for the 2000-hp suction turbine of the Thermodynamics Laboratory. At the test condition of airmass flow 11.75 lb.°sec. and temperature rise of 703°C, the pressure loss was only 2.5 inches of water, or 0.6% of the total inlet pressure and the combustion efficiency was high.
Temperature distribution and flame length were satisfactory. |
