Abstract | The Division was requested by CMHC in July 1955 to make an examination of damaged brickwork of the apartment building in the Rockwood Court Development in Saint John, N.B. An engineer of C.M.H.C. earlier in the summer did a survey of the damage that was made, and it was decided that some repairs would be necessary before winter. Since the completion of the buildings in 1949 repair had been made annually, and although failures had been recurring, the cause of failure was not known. Before anymore repairs where to be made, it was decided that the cause of failure was to be established. The Division was asked to assist in this aspect of the problem and to suggest what remedial measures should be taken. |
