Abstract | Pointing remains man's most natural method of indicating selection. For this reason, a touch-sensitive x-y overlay offers advantages over other input devices in many digital computer systems handling graphic information. An echo-ranging technique using high-frequency, elastic surface waves on a glass plate has been used as the basis for such a device. |
