| Abstract | The purpose of this report is to give the reader a background into the PC/104 industry and to act as a guideline and source for selecting PC/104 modules as system components. The first section gives a background and some insight into the PC/104 technology. Things like standardization, growth, market and future of the industry are discussed. The other section outlines various PC/104 modules that can be used in system design. Several products from four companies are discussed and the key features for each device are noted. Pricing and distributors of these products are outlined. I have made some recommendations for which products may be best based on my research into the industry. |
