Abstract | An alternative logarithmic transformation procedure is proposed for emphasizing the structural information present in magnetic data. The procedure enhances subtle geologic information present at low-amplitude values and yet preserves the relative amplitude information. The application of the procedure is demonstrated by considering a portion of a 1983 helicopter-based aeromagnetic survey of the Hemlo gold camp on the north shore of Lake Superior. |
