| Abstract | This report presents the results of a series of experiments carried out on a scale model of the Hibernia Gravity Based Structure (GBS). The purpose of the tests was to obtain drag and inertia coefficients for the GBS to better describe the specification for a proposed Underwater Towing Carriage. Good agreement with published data was achieved with the drag coefficient data. The data for the inertia coefficients is questionable due to problems with the experimental setup. |
