| Abstract | On-chip power splitters are fundamental building blocks in photonic integrated circuits. In this work, we use subwavelength metamaterials to engineer a 3-dB Y-junction power splitter exhibiting ultra-low excess loss of less than 0.3 dB over an unprecedented bandwidth of 700 nm (1300 – 2000 nm). |
