Abstract
A group of Canadian scientists at the National Research Council’s Prairie Regional Laboratory in Saskatoon, Sask., is in the forefront of international research aimed at a revolutionary plant breeding method. The technique is dependent upon fusion of cells from different species, involving a series of exacting procedures. Recent exciting achievements indicate such a method for hybrid cells has been found. Some refinements are reeded, but cell fusion can be accomplished.
