Abstract | Discussion to the 20th ITTC Seakeeping Committee's Report. Dangerous effects of bulwark and deck submergence are outlined. Present practices in model tests of capsizing are discussed, importance of numerical simulations co-ordinated with model experiments is emphasized and the methodology of model testing of transient phenomena is suggested. The need for unified methodology of testing of capsizing is emphasized. |
