Abstract | This paper investigates the effect of CO addition on soot formation in a coflow ethylene/air diffusion flame by both experiment and numerical simulation. Specifically, we are interested in the chemical effect of CO addition on soot formation. To isolate the chemical effect from others, the paper also investigates the addition of nitrogen (N2). |
