| Abstract | This report describes the flexible rotor balancing procedures based on the least-squares influence coefficient method using the facilities available at the Engine Laboratory.
In this report, step-by-step balancing procedures are described. All necessary documentation, including computer program listings, is contained in this report. The validity of the described procedures was verified by performing two to six plane balancing using a 2.5 cm test rotor.
Bodé and Nyquist’s diagram generation capability for up to 20 locations along the shaft is included for the purpose of monitoring rotor behavior. An example of this is presented.
This report is intended to be used as a user’s manual. |
